I started doing Bikram yoga in college when I was 19. Not only did it keep me in great shape and shed the "freshman 20 (in my case)," but it taught me so much about myself and perspective (perspective changes everything).

When we moved to Ocala in 2009, I stopped practicing yoga because there was not a Bikram studio here. With the help and encouragement of my family and close friends, I decided to get certified to teach it myself!

My hope is that each student leaves class with a sense of healing, peace, and connection.

I’ve been a student with ONE Hot Yoga since the very beginning and loved what these classes were doing for me. When the studio closed (temporarily over quarantine), I created a hot room in my home and developed a 25 minute work out that kept me in shape during that time (H.E.A.T. 25), and now I’m bringing it to you!

I am a registered and licensed dietician (RD, LD/N), and have my AFAA group exercise certification. I love challenging my students and giving them an action packed 25 minute workout!

Growing up in the cold New Hampshire climate, I thought my body’s aches and pains were normal. My back hurt, my mind was a mess and worse still, I felt helpless to improve my situation.

Class was hard, my body was uncomfortable; yet I saw myself in the teacher and there was this feeling of family. Through the confusion, sweat, & occasional tears, I found my breath. Time and time again, I learned how to breathe.

Since I began practicing in 2009, my body & mind have grown ever more harmonious. I began teaching gentle yoga at ‘the Y’ in 2012 and recieved my RYT200 certificate from Bijananda Yoga in 2013. In addition to nature walks with my german shepherd, Taimo; yoga has been my foundation for wellness. Nov 2015, I began teaching Bikram yoga in Concord, NH. May 2018, I began teaching Inferno Hot Pilates; a great compliment to a regular yoga practice. IHP is high intensity interval training using Pilates principles in a heated room. "Transform. Burn. Love."

It’s an honor to be teaching Bikram Yoga & Inferno Hot Pilates at One Hot Yoga, Ocala. I love sharing my passion for personal practice. Together we can all breathe (&SWEAT!) a little easier.

Yoga at first was only a workout for me. I just wanted the physical aspect so I could sweat as much as possible and stay in shape. I began to deepen my practice and really understanding that there were benefits of the practice mentally too. Yoga ended up being an inward journey and led me to finding out more about myself than I could have ever imagined. I have became the best version of myself physically and mentally because of this beautiful practice. I feel closer to my truest self. My goal as a teacher is to give to all the students that cross my path the opportunity to feel what I experienced. Encouraging everyone to have open minds and hearts. Take things they learn on the mat into their daily life. Learning to let your body and mind sync in peace and harmony!
